Salt Lake City, March 1, 2024 – Turner Innovations is pleased to participate and contribute on several fronts at the 2024 Wilson Sonsini Entrepreneur and Investor Life Sciences Summit, presented by BioUtah and the University of Utah Technology Licensing Office, March 14-15, 2024.

Founder and CEO of Turner Innovations, Dr. Clark Turner will be participating on the CEO panel. Turner Innovations is a dynamic medical technology incubator focusing on developing and manufacturing medical and dental diagnostic imaging products, including next-generation X-ray and 3D imaging devices. Previously, he was the founder and CEO of Aribex, and developer of the NOMAD handheld portable x-ray system. Dr. Turner has published over 20 scientific papers and presentations, and has been granted 12 patents with several patent applications pending. In 2011 he was awarded the Utah Governor’s Medal for Science and Technology.

Turner affiliate 3Dio is one of 9 earlier-stage companies selected from 30 applicant companies to pitch at the E&I Summit Pitch Contest! 3Dio has developed the Lumos 3DX, the world's first 3D intra-oral high-res X-ray for dentistry, that constructs a 3D image using 30 2D X-ray pulses in about three seconds from multiple locations at the side of the patient’s head. The software allows the dentist to fly through the tooth, front to back, and be able to see within the tooth to identify cavities or cracks or view file locations in 3D for root canals. The company has been granted U.S. FDA clearance. SBIR grants from the NIH funded the foundational technology development. 3Dio is now looking for outside investors for commercial launch of the product.

Turner Medtech is pleased to be a member company of BioUtah and will be exhibiting at the E&I Summit. Turner Medtech is a contract manufacturing company set up to service related and independent companies in the medical device industry. The 20,000-square-foot facility is ISO 13485 certified, which meets the highest global compliance and process control standards. Turner Medtech is contracted to manufacture Turner Imaging Systems’ Smart-C and 3Dio’s Lumos 3DX devices. In addition, they also manufacture medical device components in both prototyping and production quantities for outside customers.
